Siiiiince the mission began after we got ourselves a COO I'll think on how to implement you into the ship-side story line.

Perhaps, Starfleet doesn't want Jason to leave the ship just yet, seeing as he's just been released from prison and they're not sure they can trust him to behave himself.

If there is a need for a operations officer on the surface, I have a couple of possible candidates that might fit the bill.

Given we need Ops Officers to look at the sensor grid as well as the energy flow from reactor to where it needs to go, Olli should be able to put some to use.
